an event today in India, Xiaomi launched its first phone to debut outside of China, the Mi 4i. As the latest addition to the company's flagship Mi line, it follows well-received models like the Mi 3 and the Mi 4.

On the outside, it sports a typical black rectangle smartphone design. It has a slim 7.8mm profile, weighs 130 grams, and will come in five colors: black, white, orange, light blue and pink. Xiaomi says that the polycarbonate unibody design has a soft-touch matte finish with anti-grease coating.The laminated Gorilla Glass screen measures 5 inches, with a 1080p HD resolution. Other features include a 13-megapixel camera, a 5-megapixel front shooter, a "beautify" feature that's automatically turned on for selfies, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of flash memory. It all runs on Android Lollipop and a second generation, 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor.

For the 3,120mAh battery, the Mi 4i brings a quick charge feature that will deliver up to 40 percent charge in 1 hour and a full charge in 3 hours.

The Mi 4i will be available in five color variations: black, white, orange, blue and pink. The phone's unibody design is constructed out of soft touch plastic and comes with a matte finish at the back. The device itself is 7.8mm thick and weighs in at 130 grams.

The pricing of the device is very aggressive at ₹12,999, which comes out to around $205. Mi 4i goes on sale starting April 30, with Flipkart the launch partner. Xiaomi has announced that the device will be made available across all of its retail platforms, including its own website in India.
